I’ve managed to build up a nice little collection of sniper rifles now, my preferred weapon of choice. I’ll be fine tuning these over time for extra gains and to customise them for different situations – long range with maximum damage, mid/short range with reduced recoil and faster reload time etc.
My very first rifle was a Pipe Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle, which I looted back in Concord when I met the Minutemen. It’s been my trusted long gun for a while now and I managed to use it to devastating effect during a sneak attack on a BOS Vertibird.

I’ve heard rumours of an underground faction called Railroad who can teach me a crafting ability known as Ballistic Weave, which should allow me to massively improve the armour ratings on my clothing. I’ve got to check that out soon, it’s too good an opportunity to ignore.
The ballistic weave is an armor mod that allows improved defensive stats to certain clothing items, including outfits, clothing that can be worn under armor and a small number of hats.
